I'm not positive but I don't believe this speaker was ever used. It is in its original box with all paperwork about specs etc. It is a Triaxial speaker (high fidelity 3-way loud speaker system), the low and medim tone speakers, the high tone tweete, the network etc are all contained in a light metal alloy prominetn frame. I believe it is from the 60s or 70s. It has the original pack of mounting screws and instruction to mount in speaker box. It measures approx. 13" across by 8" high.

Ich verkaufe ein rares und außergewöhnlich gut erhaltenes Paar Breitband Lautsprecher der Firma Coral. Meinen Informationen nach, war der Beta-8A einer der letzten von Coral hergestellten Lautsprecher und diente wegen gleicher Abmessungen der Montageparameter auch als Lowtherersatz. Leider stellte die Firma Coral ihre Produktion von highendigen Lautsprecher vor vielen Jahren ein und überließ unter anderem der Firma Fostex/Foster die Produktion von professionellen, hochwertigen, massiv gearbeiteten und langlebigen Lautsprechern.

SEHEN UND HÖREN
In einer langen Liste von superben Breitband Chassis ragt der Beta durch sein eigenwilliges Design und klanglichen Fähigkeiten heraus. Die lindgrüne Membran, die weiße langlebige Textilsicke, der helle dicke Gummi (den man ungern hinter einer Lautsprecherfront verstecken möchte), der starke Antrieb und natürlich der verchromte Dom der einmalig in der Chassiswelt ist. Über die klanglichen Fähigkeiten ließe sich so manches schreiben (in einschlägigen Internet-Foren wird die Überlegenheit zu Fostex FE206E und FE208EZ Sigma , Lowther DX2 und EX4 erwähnt und zu Beta 10 , da wesentlich leichtere Membran bei gleichem Magnetgewicht). In meiner Sammlung befinden sich einige andere namhafte Breitbänder (Supravox 215-2000 , Phy-hp KM 30 SAG , Diatone P-610 MB , Lowther PM2A , Manger W04 und ältere Modelle wie Ferrivox 245 T10 , Supravox T215 SRTF 21 , Bauer 12" Coax AlniCo , Saba 8" GreenCone , Stromberg Carlson 10" Coax , die alle ihre eigenen Qualitäten besitzen. Doch davon einen als "besten" Lautsprecher zu bezeichnen, ist meiner Ansicht nach nicht möglich, gelten doch je nach Elektronik, Musikstil und Geschmack, sogar nach Stimmung andere Kriterien. Der Coral Beta besitzt zumindest sehr eigene Qualitäten und es gilt selbst heraus zu finden wie gut dieses Chassis "klingen" kann. Das dazu nicht unbedingt ein Horngehäuse von Nöten ist, zeigen die vielen nach original Coral Bassreflex Bauplänen realisierten Gehäuse.

ZUSTAND
Die Chassis waren ca. 3 Monate lang zu Testzwecken in Backloaded Hörner eingebaut, dann verschwanden sie in meinem Lautsprecherfundus. Ich hoffe der außergewöhnlich gut erhaltene Zustand ist auf den Fotos zu erkennen (Nichtraucherhaushalt). Lediglich ein Chassis hat eine minimal weniger grüne Membran (linkes Chassis). Die Impedance ist 8 Ohm und Belastbarkeit 25 Watt. Die Dichtungsringe sind unbenutzt und die Originalkartons vorhanden. Da der Besitzerstolz begrenzt sein sollte, möchte ich nun einem anderen Musikfreund die Gelegenheit bieten sich dieser Betas anzunehmen!

CORAL BETA-8 I am selling a rare pair of Coral Beta-8A full range speaker in mint condition. These corals were some of the last to be produced at the factory. You will have to see the build quality of these drivers to believe the workmanship. Impedance is 8 ohms and rated at 25 watts. These have cast iron frames and heavy magnets. They are superb speakers in my opinion. Cosmetically they are in very good condition. One cone is slightly different in color (a slightly less green but this does not affect the sound). Comes in original factory boxes. This auction is for one pair.

This auction is for a pair of coral H 105 Super Tweeters. The Coral horn tweeters are among connoisseurs regarded as some of the best ever manufactured. Usable together with Coral M -100/ 104, - with Lowther or Coral Beta fullrangers or many others.

These are in excellent working condition, DC res. on both :; 7,1 - with only minor signs of use, except from a missing back plate of one of them, and some small marks on the mounting flanges.

A matching pair of full range 8'' 8ohm drives. All original cones, surrounds, wizzar cones, and components. Working perfectly and sound great. Come in a matching pair of Electrohome cabinets. The cabinets have been refitted internally for house these 8'' drivers with a added internal ported bass design. Custom built cabinets. Sound sensational. A great match of components and cabinets. Great clarity and presence and amazing bass for their size. Cabients are in excellent condition with few marks and signs of use. For auction here is a very nice pair of Coral Beta 10 drivers, Japans legendary copies if the Lowther full range drivers.
These have just come out of the original cabinets and are in outstanding condition. Cones are perfect, paint is perfect. I have had them running for a few days and found that they sound really fine, although they do need proper cabs as the original Coral ones are not well matched to these speakers.

They are in Excellent condition. Great for low power tube amps 15 watts or less per channel. Tested with LEAK TL/12 PLUS amp, they sounded fantastic.
